Airborne ISR Systems Engineers - Work in Dayton, Ohio!

 

Our client, one of the nation’s leading Research and Development organizations, has an immediate opening for a Airborne ISR Systems Engineer  to work in Dayton, Ohio. This is the opportunity to lead an elite R&D team in a growing organization.

 

Our client has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer with experience in acquisition of ground-based IT capabilities used to process, exploit, and disseminate advanced Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor data from DoD operational platforms.  The applicant would assist the government in planning all phases of program management to include drafting concepts of operation, defining requirements from needs, establishing configuration and process management structures and coordinating system sustainment. 

 

Duties:

 

bulletPerforming technical planning, system integration, verification and validation coordination, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for the system.
bullet
Providing architecture design and process management input to support software maturity processes through the application of software engineering and acquisition principles.
bullet
Drafting documents and briefing slides as needed to effectively communicate program status and plans, as well as technical aspects.
 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

bullet7+ years of experience in systems engineering of complex programs
bullet
Familiarity with Agency, IC, or DoD operations and tasking activities
bullet
Experience with Intelligence Community programs during all phases of program execution
bullet
Knowledge of National, Military, and other U.S. Government collection platforms and programs
bullet
Experience with ISR ground processing programs, both in the development and operational phases
bullet
Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory direction
bullet
Interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
bullet
Communication skills  including written, verbal, visual, electronic, and group facilitation
bullet
Ability to communicate complex technical subjects to executive audiences, as well as acquisition and programmatic subjects to technical audiences
bullet
Ability to enable and influence progress while maintaining a non-authoritative advisory role
bullet
Ability to tailor Systems Engineering processes to program context and needs
bullet
Experience in requirements identification and decomposition, system concept definition, system trades and architecture development, system CONOPS generation, project risk management, and system integration.

Education/Certifications:

 

bulletBS in Engineering, Systems Engineering or Acquisition
bullet
Systems Engineering Level 2 or greater Defense Acquisition University Certification or equivalent
