Computational Electromagnetic Engineers – Join of the Nation’s Top R&D Organizations!
We currently have the opportunity for a Computational Electromagnetic Engineer to join one of the nation’s leading research organizations. Our client, an Independent Not-For-Profit Institute, provides unbiased, results-oriented technical and programmatic support. Our client is an expert at transitioning science and technology from the abstract to reality, from theory to the laboratory and from the laboratory to the field. They conduct Advanced Research, O&M Support, Systems Engineering and Programmatic Support Enhancing Our Nation's Defense, Security and Welfare.
Our Client’s Electromagnetic Sciences Directorate is expanding and is currently seeking a Member of the Research Staff to work in the area of Computational Electromagnetics (CEM). The successful candidate will investigate advanced CEM algorithms and techniques and developing sophisticated software tools that can be used for analysis and design. The tools will need to work efficiently on high performance computing platforms.
To qualify candidates must have 10 to 15 years experience in state-of-the-art computational electromagnetics for radar scattering and antenna radiation problems. They should be fluent in scientific computer languages including Fortran 90/95, Java, C++, QT, Perl, etc. They should be experienced in the solution of integral equations and linear algebra and Cray/SGI supercomputer applications. They should have excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills. They should also be experienced with optimization theory and technique and advances materials for CEM applications.
In addition, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field is required; Ph.D. Degree preferred. U.S. Citizenship required and must candidates must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance (TS); current SSBI highly desirable.
The position is located in the in New York City, New York.
