Senior Information Security Cryptographic Engineers - Join one of the nation’s most prestigious and successful companies!
We have an opportunity for a Senior Information Security Cryptographic Engineer to join one of the nation’s most prestigious and successful companies. Our client’s Information Security group is in the midst of a major business expansion.
The successful candidate will provide technical and program management support for the development of cryptographic modernization. They will provide technical support in the design, test, implementation, documentation, and the strategic management of secure communications systems and networks. Emphasize the development of strategic technical guidance, requirements, concept of operation documents, and other equivalent technical management documentation. Focus on the testing and evaluation of new cryptographic equipment and the development, review, analysis, and coordination of COMSEC development for the DoD and other federal agencies. Provide technical and programmatic support to the program manager and supply subject matter expertise to the DoD cryptographic working groups and programs. Coordinate with key government agencies, support staff, and representatives to ensure that project execution and development meet the DoD's cryptographic capabilities and requirements. Interact with the client and senior leadership in a team environment across multiple commands within the DoD and federal agencies. Assist the client with the development of strategic and technical goals.
To qualify candidates must have:
· 5+ years of experience in system engineering working with cryptographic equipment, including Type 1 · Experience with implementing and testing of cryptographic networking systems. · Experience with DoD Information Assurance standards and policies · Knowledge of COMSEC, cryptographic principles, and key management · Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, including MAC and network layer protocols and design · Ability to work collaboratively with others · Ability to interface with sponsor contracted technical vendors and provide recommendations and guidance · Secret clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience with cryptographic product configuration and testing, including HAIPE, SCIP products, network architectural design, information security engineering, interoperability testing, and operational requirements evaluation for cryptographic device deployment. · Ability to customize protocols and scripts to support specific testing and operations, as needed · NSA and DoD cryptographic Certifications
