Natural Language Processing (NLP) Developers – Work with the State of the Art in NLP Technology!

We currently have the opportunity for Natural Language Processing (NLP) Developers to join one of the rising stars in the Washington, DC area and work in the State of the Art in NLP technology.

Our client has recently formed a new Knowledge Language Solutions Division. Part of this new Division’s mission is to assist the U.S. government in turning massive volumes of multilingual data and information into actionable knowledge. With a focus on creating and capturing knowledge both inside their company and in the customer spaces, our client is assisting its customers in pulling together a strategic vision and plan to create and use tools and techniques for creating value added knowledge from multilingual information. Our client’s Knowledge & Language Solutions division’s efforts works across their company to support human language technologies (HLT) and supporting multilingual database, application, and collaboration efforts.

The NLP Developers will support the design, development and evaluation of NLP technologies in both software and database systems.

To qualify, candidates must have

	Minimum 5 years (desired 10 years) experience in Java and Perl I18N programming
	Minimum 5 years Database internationalization experience with hands-on experience with implementing Unicode databases using PL/SQL and globalization features
	Minimum 5-7 years experience with building NLP applications to include morphological analyzers and generators, phonological processors, machine assisted translation, information retrieval, information extraction and summarization systems or other language technology systems such as online dictionaries and terminologies
	Minimum 5 years experience with XML
	Enjoy working on site with clients and being a part of a multi-discipline team
	B.S. (MS desired) Computer Science/Linguistics/Computational Linguistics
	A current TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph

Desired Skills include:

	Knowledge in a second language
	The ability to read and understand scripts of foreign languages and language properties
	Experience with XML databases
