Systems Engineers – Join a Select Enterprise Architecture Team!
We currently have the opportunity for Systems Engineer to join one of the nation’s most prestigious employers.
Our client provides Enterprise Architecture and System Engineering support to a major Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is responsible for providing a comprehensive, actionable, and enterprise-level architecture for the Agency, and to ensure alignment of the component architectures with Federal, Intelligence Community (IC), Information Sharing Environment, and Agency strategic directions. The customer's goal is to drive the architecture downward into the various organizations as a trusted expert and strategic partner.
Our client’s focus is on assisting the customer in developing elements of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) and providing engineering and architecture support to the Government Program Managers for the projects and organizations the Sponsor Office serves.
The successful candidate duties include: Identifies system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle, from concept to disposal. Performs technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Ensures designs are compatible with the architecture and allocates requirements to segments. Analyzes science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyses user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.
In addition the Systems Engineer, facilitates the identification and documentation of business architecture by participating/ contributing in a variety of activities to meet DS Support Forward's needs, including:
- Gathering information; - Analyzing business needs - Coordinating and executing the management of business architecture. - Assist in the development of the business architecture vision and direction, providing communication and education - Support the role of liaison between the Support Forward and DS Business Offices - Develop and communicate business needs within DS and between DS Offices - Assist in the development of training and support materials for business architecture, modeling, and requirements development - Assist Support Forward in defining and developing business cases - Effectively utilize business architecture tools - Assist in the development of business processes and procedures
To qualify, candidates should have 7 to 10+ years of experience, BS Degree (Masters preferred) and an Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
Positions are in the Reston, Virginia area.
