Technical Instructors – Join an Industry Leader! 

 

We currently have the opportunity for a Technical Instructor to join a leading systems and solutions provider of intelligence, security, and advanced information technologies. Our client is a technology leader specializing in defense, homeland security and other government markets throughout the world. They have a history of innovation spanning more than 85 years, providing state-of-the-art capabilities in the areas of sensing; effects; C3I (command, control, communications), mission support, mission systems integration, information assurance/information operations, and intelligence systems.

 

As part of an exciting team that supports a major in Intelligence Systems Program in Chantilly, VA, The Technical Instructor teaches  courses in Microwave Receivers, Pulse Code Modulation (PCM), Basic Electronic Equipment, Wideband Recorders and several other similar technical courses. Develops course material, instructor notes, briefing slides, classroom laboratory demonstrations, etc. Updates course material as necessary based upon customer feedback. Provides candid feedback to the customer clientele on student performance. Works closely with other instructional staff to maintain a first-class training program. 

 

To qualify candidates must have:

 

·         B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics plus a minimum of 8 years experience or equivalent education and experience is required.

·         Currently hold at least a TSSCI Clearance with a CI polygraph and and must be able to obtain a Full Scope polygraph.

·         Possess a thorough understanding of receiver design principles and terms such as noise figure, preselection, down-conversion, intermediate frequency, image rejection, spurs, modulation and types of modulation, demodulation techniques, antenna types, etc.

·         Have thorough knowledge of PCM principles such as binary numbers, A/D and D/A conversion; framing, encoding, randomization, and modulation techniques; error correction, RF propagation, multipath and fading, clock recovery, etc.

·         Have experience with modern RF and microwave test equipment such as Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Synthesizers, etc.

·         Excellent speaking and presentation skills, and demonstrated ability to teach.

·         B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics  or experience may be substituted for education.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

·         Previous bench-level experience designing, building and testing receivers, demodulators, amplifiers and other RF and microwave circuits, or experience in the communications industry.

·         Certification or previous experience as an instructor.

 

Position is based in Chantilly, Virgnia.
